Millions of small steps to achieve a big dream

Starting from a community empowerment program from PT Astra International Tbk., called 'Desa Sejahtera Astra', from a small village in Malang, East Java, founder of Bafain grew up amidst the expanse of farming fields and fish ponds owned by his family. Since childhood, he witnessed how the farmers and fishermen in his village struggled to make ends meet, often with results that were not commensurate with their hard work. Then, We built a dream to not only play a role in providing social-economic impacts for the community but also produce agricultural & fishery products that are accepted at the international market level with a firm determination. He saw great potential in his villages area, with fertile land and abundant water resources. However, he also saw the lack of knowledge, capital, and market access that were the main obstacles for the local farmers or fishermen. We tried to do many things then failed and became exhausted, but we never gave up. Until at the end of 2021, we established PT Bafain Haridra Indonesia.
